Jeanne Westra has been on a life-long artistic Odyssey. Mastering both painting and jewelry design, Westra’s pieces embody a deep richness with a strong emotional quality. Each piece resonates with a timeless elegance that she has worked to imbue with her unique touch. Her paintings are beautifully rendered and steeped in traditional techniques, while still possessing freshness and vivacity.

From Russia and the Middle East, to Africa and the Mediterranean, Westra has traveled widely to develop a broad collection of specimens inspired by the artistic traditions of Byzantium, Muscovy and Arabia. She has developed a style which is timeless and yet distinctively modern. Trained as a goldsmith in Florence by master jewelers, Westra has worked at designing, creating and selling custom necklaces made of hand-picked gemstones from throughout the world. She has also dedicated herself to painting commission pieces ranging from contemporary portraits to Masters Reproductions which have garnered international praise. Her necklaces and paintings are sold at area galleries and at private showings and her exquisite bridal group necklace creations have been modeled both in the US and in Europe.
